The neoclassical with its simplistic luxurious decoration was built in the last decade of the last century and is a generous and moving donation by the wealthy merchant Xenophon Stavropoulos to house the first high school in the city.
Today the library of the Municipality is housed there, whose shelves are full of rich material from the Achaean bibliography.
Here you will find historical and folklore treasures, books and newspapers, most donations from important people in the area, as well as modern publications.
The Aigio Municipal Library belongs to the National Library’s library network.
